I didn't like Rodarte's fall/winter collection for 2009, I have to admit that. It was just too much for me. But despite many similarities to "last" season's collection, the S/S 2009 show was brilliant, in my opinion. Somehow, the transparent and painted chiffon, combined with amazing (but possibly lethal) heels by Nicholas Kirkwood (said to be new Louboutin), feel so right and innovative. At least in comparison with all of the mediocre collections that were shown during NY fashion week. I'm really looking forward to seeing where Rodarte sisters take it all next. Only February will give us the answer to that question.
